Latest version of the game as of 2017/06/19. Most of the changes appear to pertain to the rules of certain gamemodes (amount of dora, number of rounds, etc for gamemodes like the double up tables and double dora tables).
In addition, a warning screen has been added to the startup of the game warning people under 20 years of age about the questionable content of the game (gambling).
Everything as far as I know. This includes:
What does not
Simply will not install on a 64-bit prefix due to the necessity of dotnet 35. Must be run in a 32-bit prefix.
So far will only install using wine-staging. In wine proper, winetricks hangs before installing dotnet20sp1 when undergoing a change windows version operation.
What was not tested
Necessity of d3dx9_36, wininet and winhttp for operation of the software.
Requires dotnet35sp1 in order to install, otherwise, the launcher will give an error. dotnet35sp1 generally has a lot of problems installing on wine but I was able to get it working enough to install it with the following winetricks resources before installing dotnet35sp1: vcrun6 mfc40 These are supposedly required for SEGA NET itself, but I haven't tested the game without them. d3dx9_36 wininet winhttp The installer for the game has a lot of missing characters, which I've been able to fix (mostly) with a mix of takao, tahoma, and cjkfonts. NOTE: Sometimes, for winetricks, it fails to grab msxml3 due to a failed hash check. This is necessary for installing dotnet35sp1, so if it keeps erroring on you, you can download msxml3.msi manually from a different source and place it in .cache/winetricks/msxml3, where it will be used in place of downloading it from wherever winetricks pulls it from. ALSO NOTE: The default game path is C:/Program Files/SEGA/セガNET麻雀MJ. If you lack Japanese input capacity on your system, you may want to change the install directory to something you can input easily. PROBLEMS: The only real issue with the game as I've tested so far (for about 2 weeks, and just did a fresh install today) is that occassionally, it will give you a "Get thread context failed" error that causes the game to close immediately (this also occurs at startup sometimes, but doesn't cause a crash and the game seems to operate fine afterwards). As far as I know, this has no permanent damage to anything pertaining to the game, and just relaunching the game immediately works fine, but this can be deadly if you wish to play the game competitively and not fall prone to uncontrollable factors, which is why I have rated the software silver.
