Version 0.11.0 of LOOT for Windows.
Most everything important for a load order sort tool with very minor workarounds/annoyances. Some may be due to limited functionality in wine.
It loads the game plugins list
Loads the master list
Updates the master list
Sorts the plugin load order
What does not
Sometimes when the setting window opens, to delete a game entry with the trash can button, one has to close it and reopen it, a minor annoyance.
Also the debugger does not work yet, and there will be no loot.log to view, so trying to copy the load order, or view the debug log or loot.log will always throw an error up. This may be problematic for those who have a special load order they wish to keep/restore or for those that want to debug the load order. For those that just want to sort things according to the master list, this wont be an issue.
What was not tested
Copying the load order
Opening debug log location
To install, a few DLL overrides are necessary in the wine config window or by using the terminal to define them before running wine. those dll overrides are as follows api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll= native/built in ucrtbase= native/built in msvcp140= native/built in vcruntime140=native built in also dependencies are MSVC 2015 x86 redistributable and 7zip which are both on The download page for the loot windows exe Windows must be set to windows 7 or later. The other thing for those of us using wine to run LOOT is one has to manually copy and paste the complete directory path when the settings window opens for each game installed, so that may vary between wine on mac or linux, but that is the only entry that needs to be adjusted. To paste the entry one has to use CTRL-V. For more info and a thread in bugzilla outlining the workaround method to install and load LOOT see this link: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41187 It was very helpful in nailing down this wine install of LOOT. Aslo one of the people who is on IRC helped out locating a somewhat working linux version (still not fully functional) and pointing to the bugzilla thread which made this test even possible! thanks Freso @ #loot irc! You helped make this happen! If there was complete functionality i would rate this as gold, but it will have to have bronze for now since it does most of what it is supposed to and only crashes on closing. For now this is not really a huge issue since it is the only well maintained load order tool that can be used for multiple bethesda games, and a necessity for Linux or Mac users running these games in wine. Now go forth and LOOT!
