What works

  • Launching pre-installed game,
  • navigating menus,
  • changing graphic options,
  • making screenshots,
  • playing the game with issues (see below).

What does not

  • Installing the game (launcher won't install),
  • logging (game thinks it crashed).

Using default (D3D11/DirectX11) mode:

  • players and NPC models (including yours) are totally invisible, including first person view. The only thing visible is a floating weapon,
  • items in inventory have invisible icons,
  • sometimes a set of black artifacts appear in the top area of the screen. It goes away after switching between a fullscreen and windowed a few times,
  • menus are hard to interact with moues due to improper mouse clicking.

Using -force-d3d9:

  • various shadow/lightning effects don't load or obstruct the view, a lot of textures does not load in maps, resulting in bright pink,
  • some character and item models in menus do not load - the models in actual game work, though.

Using -force-vulkan:

  • Due to game errors: trying to inspect an item crash the game and the game suffers from heavy stuttering (both of the issues  seems to appear under Windows as well).

Additional Comments

The downloaded files had to be copies from Windows host. Upgraded game and Wine version does not seem to change anything positive or negative compared to my previous test, but I found some ways to alleviate the issues by launching the game with command line parameters. By default, the game can be played in D3D11 mode, but navigating menus is hard due to mouse issues and models do not load. Launching the game with -force-d3d9 allows to see character and item models and click items without issues, but introduces heavy graphical issues due to missing textures. Graphically, the game works best when launching it with -force-vulkan switch, however due to game's problems (that appears under Windows too), it introduces heavy stuttering and crashes when trying to inspect an item. Also, the issue error message about the game crashing can be resolved by launching the game with -silent-crashes parameter.
