Additional Comments
Install it on a windows box. Copy ALL the files in the MYOB folder which is C:\MYOB by default and put it in your Linux box. Copy these files: cfx2032.dll dzip32.dll mfc42.dll MYOBCommon.dll PrnEng.dll CPdf.dll FtoP.dll msvcp60.dll MYOBIn32.dll PtoP.dll ctmyob32.dll gdiplus.dll MtoM.dll MYOBSp32.dll SWDrv32.dll dunzip32.dll MFC42D.DLL MtoP.dll NZBanks.dll xerces.dll *NOTE: I'm using Accountant v11 NZ version to your .wine/drive_c/windows/system You need to have a copy of msvcp60.dll & mfc42.dll. I'm not too sure where you can find this on the windows I just google'd it. Then just run the myob program by using wine myob.exe. In my case its this: wine /data/myob/Myob.exe and it work perfectly fine. I also did this over freenx and it works flawlessly. Please contact me if you need assistance.

2013-05-04 Admin note: the information below was extracted from a user comment posted in 2009, and may not be applicable to current Wine.
The solution to the code 1244 error is to open the company file for
either single user access or multiple user access with TCP (ie don't use
NETBIOS/NETBUI).
(This is wine version 1.1.24 and on MYOB Premier 12.)
(See www.accountingsoftware411.com/Community/ShowThread.aspx?threadid=1058 - apparently this can happen in Windoze as well.)
