General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS)

What works

32bit and 64bit versions both works. But for optimizations which require high amount of RAM (above 2 or 4 GB) only the 64bit version works.

I have only tested some runs of a (somewhat big) MIP optimization with CPLEX (with license, not demo mode).

What does not

Did not run into any issue after the first day of testing. But that's inconclusive so some things may not work depending on your usage of GAMS.

Installed in a win64 prefix, with wine-stable from the winehq APT repository. (the wine version packaged with Ubuntu 16.04 is too old and does not work at all with GAMS) Followed the instructions here: https://www.gams.com/latest/docs/userguides/userguide/_u_g__u_n_i_x__i_n_s_t_a_l_l.html But did not install the extra packages from point 3.
