The newest version of the launcher.
Pending workarounds, the launcher runs without issue. All embedded html/media content is displayed correctly, including the Unreal Engine tab. Paragon installs without issue, and web links call your browser properly. Saving your password for auto-login works.
What does not
The prerequisites can't install without a workaround documented below, which prevents the installer from finishing.
There is a strange visual bug and long-standing issue where hovering your pointer over certain regions of the launcher window cause it to disappear. Moving the pointer again causes it to reappear and the issue seems constrained to certain regions. This is only really a problem at the initial login because the input boxes for your e-mail and password disappear, thus are not clickable.
Winetricks from current git can be used to install dotnet40 in a 64-bit prefix. For some goofy reason .NET is needed for the prerequisites installation to finish. It pops up a harmless error box once afterwards, but it seems to install some DirectX stuff anyway.
The workaround for the magical disappearing window is to immediately click the sign in button, which highlights the boxes, after which you can press tab a few times on your keyboard to get to the input boxes. Of course that sounds easy, but it didn't occur to me the first time I tested when I kept trying to click the boxes. ;-)
What was not tested
I only installed Paragon. Not really interested in the other games, and Unreal Engine is available for Mac and Linux online
I didn't test if command line options still exist that were supposed to let you skip prerequisites or render under OpenGL because the last two times I tested they didn't seem to do anything except give archaic crashes.
