The DRM-free version of the game available at GOG.com and on the GOG Galaxy client.
Unplayable. It is incredibly slow and the graphics seem messed up, though it's hard to tell since it is dropping so many frames. Note that this game worked perfectly with earlier versions of Wine.
What does not
Frame rate has dropped so far as to be unplayable. Also, the screen sometimes seems to freeze up for ten or fifteen seconds, particularly when quitting the game.
Downgrade to an older version of Wine. 2.02 worked fine.
What was not tested
Playing the game was impossible due to the graphics problems, so everything was not tested.
I was trying out this newer version of wine to see if Cuphead would work with my playstation gamepads without having to use the LD_PRELOAD=koku-xinput-wine kludge. It did not work.
