What works

  • Migration from classic as far as I can tell (the software claims success but I have not been able to find a view that displays any "Personalstammdaten" or the "Journal" that should have been imported, too)
  • Filing support tickets

What does not

The actual forms are not rendered. (e.g. "Beitragsnachweis")

When opening a Form with WINEDEBUG=d3d the following trace log is generated, which suggest, that the software is not finding any supported pixelformat / rendering mode

What was not tested

Actually sending forms as I was unable to fill them in.

Hardware tested

  • GPU: AMD
  • Driver: open source

Additional Comments

I installed comfort into my preexisting classic prefix which I recently set up following these steps:

I used wine-development from the official Ubuntu repos.

I took the following steps to make classic 17.1.1 install and run: (minor variation to simon's steps)

  1. WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="/home/yourname/.wine-svnet" winecfg
  2. WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="/home/yourname/.wine-svnet" winetricks mdac28
  3. WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="/home/yourname/.wine-svnet" winetricks jet40
  4. WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="/home/yourname/.wine-svnet" winetricksvb6run
  5. WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="/home/yourname/.wine-svnet" winecfg
    1. Set windows version to Windows Server 2008 R2 (probably not necessary)
    2. Add dll overrides (Native, Builtin) for the following libraries:
      1. ole32
      2. oleaut32
      3. olepro32
    3. Add dll overrides (Builtin, Native) for the following libraries:
      1. wininet
  6. WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="/home/yourname/.wine-svnet" wine Setup.exe

For better usability I also installed cups-pdf via aptitude, so I could configure classic to print into PDFs

Installed using the following commandline:

WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX="/home/yourname/.wine-svnet" wine
