Installation requires you to set wine Applications->Windows Version to Windows 7, otherwise the program
UnityDownloadAssistant-2017.2.0f3.exe will not install Unity.
Installation terminates with a message of success.
Before running Unity, you need (if not already installed) to give command
sudo apt-get install winbind
What does not
Running it from a terminal:
env WINEPREFIX="/home/bob/.wine" wine C:\\windows\\command\\start.exe /Unix /home/bob/.wine/dosdevices/c:/users/Public/Start\ Menu/Programs/Unity\ 2017.2.0f3\ \(64-bit\)/Unity.lnk
displays a black window headed "Unity 2017.2.0f3". After a short while the window turns grey. The program takes 100% of cpu and does not terminate.
The program produces two error messages and many fixmes.
