So far, I could see my whole library, download a book and browse through it.
What does not
Installing 1.21 directly doesn't succeed as described below.
As suggested in reviews of previous versions, I had to install an older version first, e.g.:
WINEPREFIX=/home/your_login_name/.wine_kindle wine kindle-for-pc-1-16-44025.exe
I started this version and log in as suggested by the application with my amazon account.
Then, I closed this version and updated to the current one, e.g.:
WINEPREFIX=/home/your_login_name/.wine_kindle wine KindleForPC-installer-1.21.48017.exe
When I try to install 1.21 directly, the start of the application hangs up in an endless loop and the cpu temperature rises ....
What was not tested
So far everything else than opening the library, downloading a local copy and browse (read) it.
