What works
Steam version: Game seems to install, however, clicking "Play" will do nothing.
Uplay version: "Modern" Uplay doesn't boot.
What does not
Steam version: Installs, doesn't boot.
Uplay version: "Modern" Uplay doesn't boot.
Workarounds
Steam version: None found. Attempted to use "Properties" interface with "/belaunch -be" to temporarily disable BattlEye, however, either BattlEye isn't the source of the issue or the command as I found it doesn't work.
Uplay version: Using "Windows XP" in the WineCFG window forces an older version of Uplay, which does boot, and is fully functional. However, it does not install Siege. Tested, and other games do install.
What was not tested
Anything after boot, in either version.
Hardware tested

Additional Comments
I cannot verify that BattlEye is, in fact, the issue. It could be the Uplay client, and, without a version of Siege separate from Uplay, this cannot be tested. I did try booting in both online and offline mode in an effort to get the Steam version to run, but to no avail.
