What works

• Installation (except for an error right at the start which you can just ignore)
• Import from previous year (created in Windows)
• Filling in the forms, including the entry help
• Plausibility checks
• Saving
• Printing & "Printing" to PDF

What does not

• Embedded auto-updater: On Windows this automatically downloads and installs available updates. On Wine it only shows a message, that you need to download the update manually from the website. The downloaded update installer works, though.
• Opening PDFs inside the program.
• Once I had a help text popup window that was "cropped" so that only the upper half was visible. But I couldn't reproduce this.

Workarounds

What was not tested

• ELSTER online
• The intro video (uses Flashplayer which I don't have installed)
• "Vorausgefüllte Steuererklärung"
• All of the wizard ("Lotse"); it seems to work though

Additional Comments

I rate this "Platinum" because although there are some small problems (see "What does not work"), everything that "counts" works perfectly fine right out of the box and the program is fully usable.
