What works

OpenGL works but with some minor visual glitches in certain locations.

What does not

DX11 works, but various objects are missing from view such as the lifepod.

This leaves OpenGL which does not have high water shaders, so you are stuck at medium water shaders.

At various points on the Aurora and around the Aurora (Under OpenGL), I noticed some strange black blocks that maybe filled 10% of the screen when viewing the fire from a distance.  This is not game breaking but it is immersion breaking.

Workarounds

Enable OpenGL by adding the -force-glcore to the launch options under Steam.

What was not tested

The game was only played to about half way into the story.

Hardware tested

Graphics:

  • GPU: Nvidia
  • Driver: proprietary

Additional Comments

Game is very playable with the current version of Wine Staging, so much so that I will likely finish the story under Wine vs using Windows.
