It is a bug fix version.
It's a portable app, so no need to install. I've used it for some time now to connect to Windows XP/7/10. It works smooth, without problems.
What does not
Unfortunately, several features (such as file transfer) are accessible only by right clicking the title bar. As such, these are useless, because you can't (as far as I know) right click the title bar in Linux and get the Windows menu.
At first, I couldn't connect at all, but after changing the default setting to videocodec=2
in brynhildr.ini, everything worked fine.
What was not tested
1. The features accessible from the title bar (file transfer, frame rate, etc) - as I said there is no way to do that.
2. Audio capture
3. Tested only the client side. Brynhildr is also a remote desktop server.
