What does not
Lights from vehicles don't illuminate the terrain or other objects at night.
Dedicated server listens to the first network interface it finds which is usually "lo" (127.0.0.1). Giants removed the option to select which interface the server listens in FS17. They document a way to handle this using networking options in windows' control panel which wine users cannot do.
Need to disable the "lo" interface with "sudo ifdown lo" before starting the dedicated server to prevent it from binding itself to 127.0.0.1
What was not tested
Tested both single and multiplayer with no issues.
Also installed a stand-alone copy on a debian stretch VM to run as a dedicated multiplayer server which seems to work with less lag and require less memory than the same map when I was running the server under a Windows VM.

OpenGL or OGL_4
The game sometimes doesn't start, to solve the problem replace dll:
d3dcompiler_46 with builtin
openal32 with builtin
Only works with Nvidia Proprietary Driver, does not work on Intel / AMD GPUs.
Otherwise exits with "Error: Could not init 3d system. Shader Model 3.0 is required".
