This is the most current version of Foxit PhantomPDF Standard as of 2/11/2018.
Form creation, opening PDF files, saving PDF files, printing to a CUPS printer, and entering information into forms all work (for the most part). I ran into an issue on Wine 3.1 where I could not enter any more information into forms I had previously created before saving, closing, and reopening the document. When this occurred, the option to close the program disappeared and I had to end it manually. This issue does not exist in Wine 3.0 as far as I have tested.
What does not
The installer fails when run normally because it tries to add a virtual printer and cannot find the print spooler service. If you click on the dialog stating that the virtual printer could not be installed, it will roll back the installation and remove all installed files.
Once installed, the program is extremely slow. Keypresses are registered immediately but do not take effect for 2-3 seconds, so all input will appear after a delay. This is also true for scrolling and for clicking actions within the document.
When the installer gives a dialog stating that the virtual printer could not be installed, open a process manager and end the "msiexec" process. The installer should close and all necessary files should remain, including a .desktop file to launch the program.
