What works

This is not exhaustive, but connecting to an S3-compatible service (in this case, an ECS instance from Dll EMC) works pretty well:

What does not

For some reason, using AWS Signature V2 does not work when running S3Browser under Wine (it does work in Windows):

Workarounds

If you select Signature V4 instead of V2, it works fine. 

What was not tested

A lot of things, but for the most part, it seems that the basics work for now.
