What works
If you have ie8 installed via winetricks, the program starts and a progress bar appears and seems to be downloading.
What does not
Without ie8 installed it dies with a null pointer exception. With it installed, it will download for a little while, then lose connection to Amazon's servers. After a while, it retries and connects again, but starts from the beginning. I don't think it will ever finish.

There is also an Amazon Games and Software Downloader in the AppDB which serves the same purpose.
This is a different program. That one you have to explicitly install, this one is downloaded when you click the Download link next to the software you purchased.
