Latest version on steam
Everything except cutscene videos:
What does not
Crash on start unless using native mfplat.dll
Video doesn't work
Framerate is low
Wine's dinput support seems to interfere with xinput support
Application will crash if not using native mfplat.dll (used version 11.0.6001.7000)
Needs native d3dcompiler_43
The game runs slow on my system unless using 2.21-staging with staging CSMT (3.X-staging is slow too). With this version I get fully playable framerate.
Needs CSMT enabled to avoid flickering if using older wine, although on the version used for this report it's enabled by default
I have disabled the gamepads on "wine control", as otherwise the buttons are wrongly mapped or sometimes don't work on the menus. Other possible workaround is using koku-xinput that doesn't have the dinput conflict problem, but it's more "out of the box" without koku if using 3.5.
What was not tested
I tried setting up registry keys for Windows Media Foundation, installing wmp10, quartz, devenum, mf through winetricks, native mf.dll, mfreadwrite.dll, wmadmod.dll, wmvdecod.dll, wmvdmod.dll, different combinations of all of these but had no luck. Maybe someone else will figure this out (I tried to mimick the solution from bug 43814).
Due to the speed problem on newer wine versions, I'd recommend trying 2.21-staging with koku-xinput as the best way to run this for now, at least on slower systems.
I have given the game bronze due to the missing videos, although otherwise the game can be played fine. Would be gold if videos did work.
