What works
Installation process is smooth, inserting the serial number works like in windows (you can copy/paste it from any linux textedit aplication e.g. gedit, kate, and it is inserted correctly in all the textbox fields)
Aplications starts much faster comparing to Windows XP or Vista.
Loading *.fla files is fast I would say faster then in Windows, tested on a project with 1600 movieclips/file size 13MB.
Actionscript 1.0/2.0 with no problems, Animations, MovieClip creation etc with no problem,
The work with Library is better, it is more snapier then in Windows... Also Compilation is faster (tested on the same project 13MB fla with 1600 movieclips...).
Runs with no problems with compiz enabled...
What does not
Query search in Context help, when you insert a search query, the engine finds it, but when you select a query item the help freezes the entire application, bug was reported as bug n.14149
There is some weird behaviour of the windows, when you have the standard layout of the workspace there are no problems, but when you begin move or detach the window toolbars they become sort of lost, and disappear or are floating and can not be selected. This can be solved to some issue, starting the application in window mode of wine..
Workarounds
What was not tested
Video manipulation, flv creation/work with large video files...
Hardware tested

Additional Comments
There is a nasty memory leak.. After having flash 8 running for more then hour a after many compilations the size of allocated memory rises form starting 155Mb to over 300Mb, with the result of very poor perfomance (compilation, selecting movie clips). Solution close the app ans starting it a new solves the problem. This problem is present in Windows too, but somehow Windows keeps Flash 8 at bay, "allowing" allocate the memory to max 280MB
