Microsoft Office (installer only)

What works

• Installer starts and launches with workarounds added (see ProPlus guide for more details - link below) and finishes 100%
• Access, Publisher, Word, Excel and PowerPoint all work with workarounds applied. 
• Activation works but you must have Wine Gecko correctly installed otherwise it will constantly crash when you try to sign in.

What does not

• Installer will give you a notification saying install complete, but installer will not exit so manually force quitting will be required.
• Outlook is very buggy and cannot add Exchange as says the .ost file is not valid.
• OneNote does not launch at all - "Desktop Experience is not installed"
• Skype doesn't launch

WineHQ AppDB: Microsoft Office (installer only) / Office 365 ProPlus ( 2016 )

You must use a 32-bit WINEPREFIX and 32-bit winbind.

To check your Wine Gecko installation use command:

WINEPREFIX=... wine iexplore appdb.winehq.org

If this doesn't work, then use:

wineboot -u

which will force downloading of the version of Wine Gecko matched with your current Wine version.

You need this web browser engine to activate the product or it will just crash.
