What works
Installed using Lutris....
don't for some reasons Lutris will stop in the installation of dotnet and vc++
so dotnet downloading from official site and vc++ from winetricks
For some unknown reasons, Lutris will tell you to download Epic Game Launcher after downloading 1.5 GB of game.....
So, I downloaded Epic Game Launcher using Lutris and Installed the game from Launcher
What was not tested
nothing outside the gameplay
Hardware tested
Additional Comments
The main problem seems to be related to inability to play mp4 video
What does not
Openning Credit Video
Character Creation. I had to create characters from other Windows PC to make it work.
Launcher can get freezed, get black, can make problem in case of sign-in. I signed-in in my browser and app connected from there.
Play first mission in windows pc after character creation to make it work.
Workarounds
Before Launching the installer or launcher.
Install dotnet framework with the following instruction :
1) Ensure that Mono is not installed (use 'wine' for 32-bit prefixes, and 'wine64' for 64-bit):
WINEPREFIX=
WINEPREFIX=
2) Set reported version to Windows XP (it will ensure that the
installer of .NET 4.0 will copy some required files like 'mscoree.dll'):
WINEPREFIX=
On winecfg dialog, change reported Windows version to Windows XP, and click OK.
3) Download and install .NET Framework 4.0 (higher versions of .NET
will not work on Wine if this version is not previously installed):
wget 'http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/5/A/95A9616B-7A37-4AF6-BC36-D6EA96C8DAAE/dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe'
WINEPREFIX=
WINEPREFIX=
4) Set reported version to Windows Vista/7, and add mscoree.dll override:
WINEPREFIX=
5) Download and install .NET Framework 4.6.1
wget 'https://download.microsoft.com/download/E/4/1/E4173890-A24A-4936-9FC9-AF930FE3FA40/NDP461-KB3102436-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe'
WINEPREFIX=
WINEPREFIX=
Make sure to append the "/q" parameter after the installer path to perform a silent installation,
because GUI installation of .NET 4.6.1 still doesn't work (without more workarounds) on Wine.
you need to install gdiplus using winetricks.
you must install dxvk and use esync for decent performance. I spent many hours using different dependencies and what is making an impact and what is not donno....
and you must follow the instructions here https://github.com/lutris/lutr...
good luck you're going to lose your sleep for one night
What was not tested
I just started the game and played 1 mission and after half hour it crashed and stopped....
I can start the game again...but don't know what can create problem due to low play hours. But I think cut scene won't work here any time soon.
