Latest version at the time of testing. Everything works great!
Adds support for uniform resource identifiers (URIs), which enable login orchestration
Everything works as expected (refer to what I have not tested)
- I added `export WINEARCH=win32` to .bashrc (before installing Wine) to as I have read that this provides better compatibility over running 32bit mode of 64bit OS.
- It didn't work on any version of Wine other than staging version (3.13) on Ubuntu 16.04
What does not
Clipboard didn't work out of the box. Anytime something was copied to clipboard, Workspaces client would crash.
Installing VB Runtime 2013 with `winetricks vcrun2013` fixed the issue
What was not tested
Did not test printing (I just don't have a printer)... removed plug-in as per instructions from other users by:
removing the vchan_plugins/pcoip_vchan_remoteprintclient.dll from the Amazon workspaces client install directory.
Wine fills the gap left by Amazon not providing a native Linux Workspace client. Kudos the Wine developers. Well done and Thank you :)
|Ubuntu 16.04 "Xenial" amd64 (+ variants like Kubuntu)

To install from the CLI use the msi installer. Example: wine msiexec /i Amazon+WorkSpaces.msi
Remove the following file to stop crashes on progarm start: ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Amazon Web Services, Inc/Amazon WorkSpaces/vchan_plugins/pcoip_vchan_remoteprintclient.dll
In some cases you may need to install install VB Runtime 2013 this can be done with winetricks `winetricks vcrun2013`
