What works

All graphics work if DXVK v. 0.65 is employed. Without it, only the menus and icons will render.

Most music and sound effects work without stutter or noise.

PS4 Controller mostly works.

What does not

Without DXVK, actual gameplay and cutscenes are not rendered.

Voice dialog does not work, at least with pulseaudio.

The opening cutscene prompts for a controller even if one is present. To get around, press the space bar.

The journal music does not play.

After the first conversation in the game in which Ryo receives his first allowance, the last subtitles remain on the screen and the face buttons no longer work with controller or keyboard.

Workarounds

Use dxvk 0.65 to render gameplay and cutscenes.

What was not tested

Could not get outside of Ryo's house to test further gameplay.

Hardware tested

Graphics:

  • GPU: Nvidia
  • Driver: proprietary

fix for audio issues (voice dialogues and ingame music)
by Dave on Thursday October 11th 2018, 17:30
The reason why you were trapped in the house, was because the sound files couldn't play in the first conversation. This kept the game locked in the dialogue cutscene.

You can fix this by installing "xact" with winetricks,
then configuring the winecfg of the prefix to set the following DLLs to native:

x3daudio_* (0-7)
xapofx1_* (1-5)
xaudio2_* (0-9)

All sound files seem to play after this configuration, and I am now also able to leave to house to do other actions.
