Additional Comments

There seems to be a problem between Solus and Wine.

After some searching I found out there is this known bug between Wine and Solus that libgnutls is not being loaded by Wine even though it is installed on Solus.

At the time of writing there is no fix available and it's not (really) clear if it's a problem with Solus or Wine.

HowTo / Notes

Installation instructions
  1. Install wine, winetricks, wine-mono, wine-gecko and also winbind
  2. Set WINEARCH to win32: export WINEARCH=win32
  3. Setup a prefix: export WINEPREFIX=~/.Dashlane
  4. Install vcrun2015: winetricks vcrun2015
  5. Check your winecfg for the following settings:
    • Change Windows Version to Windows 7
    • Libraries Overrides:
      • api-ms-win-crt-
        • conio-l1-1-0 (native, builtin)
        • heap-l1-1-0 (native, builtin)
        • locale-l1-1-0 (native, builtin)
        • math-l1-1-0 (native, builtin)

      • ucrtbase (native, builtin)
      • vcomp140 (native, builtin)
      • vcruntime140 (native, builtin)
  6. Download the Dashlane setup for Windows and run it: wine ~/Downloads/DashlaneInst.exe
  7. After the setup is done login or create an account, try to skip the tutorial.
  8. Profit

If you forget to set Windows to 7 Dashlane 4.6.8 will be installed instead of the latest version.
If this happens uninstall the software and try again (or just delete the prefix).

FreeBSD

Dashlane also works on FreeBSD but because wine is outdated in the FreeBSD repo a test report cannot be made as of this moment.

Updating from an older version (if auto update doesn't work)

There seemed to be an update however Dashlane didn't want to update and just told me "No updates available."

To fix this issue just reinstalled Dashlane with Windows version 7 and it should auto install the latest version.
