only one I tested - and it worked with workarounds.
Everything so far. have not fully played through.
What does not
The game comes up with a black screen only, with sound. this is due to the version of direct3d the game detects that is supported by wine but not fully implemented.
with a work around this can be bypassed and forced to run in d3d9
Also the videos would not display because of missing codecs
had to run the game with parameters to force it to run in d3d9
pass the game this option: -force-d3d9
also had to install codecs with CCCP codec pack
What was not tested
full play through of the game.
I just got it working today with the GOG v.23731 version but it should not be to hard for the steam version.
NOTE: wine version 3.13
1) Setup the 64bit version of wine , this was needed for me
NOTE: while in there set the virtual desktop to enabled and set the resolution
otherwise the game runs in the corner since full screen is not working.
2) Made sure wine had mono installed
it did this for me when I did the winecfg on ubuntu
3) Installed the Combined Community Codec Pack (CCCP)
This is needed to get the video working
4) I installed the game
NOTE: GOG installer shows some errors but game is installed fine
5) Run the game with options
wine BC.exe -force-d3d9
NOTE: the virtual desktop is not needed if you turn off fullscreen mode in the video settings
With that I was able to run the game with videos and everything.
My system is a junk laptop, so I had to drop the resolution to 800x600 for it to be playable.
