Install, patcher – although it takes a while when it reaches 99% regardless of system specs or bandwith, configuration tool and starting the client.
What does not
Client stays black after the developer logos regardless of mode (windowed or fullscreen) or resolution.
What was not tested
Metin2 used to work flawlessly in Wine before the torrent patching was introduced. In recent times the issues with the client were related to DRM/Anti-cheat mechanisms (e.g. HackShield) which act the same as rootkits and could not be implemented in Wine. Recently Gameforge 4D changed it's provider for the anti-hacking solution which is why it might work again now. The steam version of the Metin2.de client works via SteamPlay with minor issues – a few glitching shadows and unclear fonts.

For private servers or in instances where the client does not use anti-cheat software that interferes with Wine the rating is "Gold" to "Platinum" provided there is also not any additional launcher software involved that does not work in Wine yet.
