Everything works: saving, loading, saving and loading inside the game, even Open dialog works and Tools and Cheats.
What does not
(OpenGL video rendering mode? - Might be because of bad graphics card. But use whatever video rendering mode you want, it doesn't give better effects.)
Emulator doesn't resize its window correctly, so you have to do it yourself, which ain't a problem.
When you set it full screen, then press Esc once so the picture could correct it's size.
Direct3D will cause some problems and OpenGL causes serious problems, but why use them anyway if there are no differences between rendering modes?

There is a minor tweak needed to get the emulator to run. There is a DLL that VisualBoy requires that Wine doesn't have, no one has decided to port the DLL to Wine.
With the new version of Wine (1.2), a couple before it as well, it winetricks is now included with Wine. Which makes this even easier.
Use this command:
For older versions of wine:
Then Run this command:
sh winetricks mfc42
