What works
Everything except what is noted in the "What does not work" section works flawlessly.
What does not
The "DirectDraw" render method does not work and displays a black screen. However, this is a non-issue since all of the other available render methods work flawlessly.
When adjusting the video size from the Options -> Video menu, the height of the window is never correct, making the aspect ratio grossly out of proportion.
Trying to record AVI video (Tools -> Record) always produces a corrupt video file.
You must copy MFC42.DLL and MFC42U.DLL from an existing Windows installation to get this program to work.
Workarounds
What was not tested
I tested this using a dumped rom of Mario Kart: Super Circuit. I did not test GB or GBC games under WINE.
I did not test cheat codes.

Additional Comments
Requires mfc42.dll and mfc42u.dll, which are not included with Wine. They can be copied from an existing Windows installation.

There is a minor tweak needed to get the emulator to run. There is a DLL that VisualBoy requires that Wine doesn't have, no one has decided to port the DLL to Wine.
With the new version of Wine (1.2), a couple before it as well, it winetricks is now included with Wine. Which makes this even easier.
Use this command:
winetricks mfc42
For older versions of wine:
Download Winetricks
Then Run this command:
sh winetricks mfc42
