Manjaro kde and wine 5.22. Many symbols disappear

I was trying to get Guitar Pro 7.5.5 (1844) working with Wine 5.19 and Ubuntu 18.04, and I'm experiencing some random crashes with specific files. For example, for the file linked below, it crashes when I select the second or fourth track (but not if you play the first or third track). Could you confirm if you experience this issue as well? If not, it's probably something with my setup. I tried viewing the file in Windows and I didn't see anything obviously different between the tracks. There's some RSE automation going on but that's for both tracks so I don't think that's the issue. Thanks!

So some updates, I installed Wine 5.5 on another computer I have running 20.04, and I run into no errors. So I tried updating my 18.04 computer to 20.04 (via distribution upgrade, not fresh install) and installing Wine 5.5, and I still have the same issue. Could it be some older dependencies that were removed during the distribution upgrade process?

Update: so I figured out that the Wine graphics scaling was causing my crashes (when you go into winecfg, make sure that the screen resolution (under the graphics tab) is set to the default 96 dpi). I'll report back if run into more issues but for now I think its working.

On my desktop I have a GTX 1080Ti (driver version 450.80.02) but I have reproduced this error on my laptop which only has an intel graphics chip, so I think its a broader problem.

I am running Wine 3.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.

I downloaded and installed this program and was initially pleased. I had no problems playing back My Song Book tabs or tabs I downloaded from the internet.

However I am a giving guitar lessons to someone right now and I have noticed that this software will freeze out when I am creating a new tab. It does this quite frequently and right now I am saving work frequently to avoid losing work.

I have my reasons for using Guitar Pro over Musescore or Tuxguitar, one of those reasons being that I am familiar with it, it's more powerful and I will need it for some tasks and also because I think it creates really neat scores compared to Tuxguitar.

I need to get this working or I will buy a Mac. I wish Guitar Pro still supported Linux.

I've recently updated to guitar pro 7.5.4 (build 1788) using wine 5.5 in ubuntu 18.04 and it works just fine.
I've tried to create a new tab and add few bars and everything I tried works just fine.

I'd suggest you to try to install a newer version following this instructions: wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu

As I'm writing, I'm using wine 5.5 from the devel branch.

Wine from ubuntu repos may not be up to date.

OK. When I do this will I need to first uninstall Wine programs and then reinstall them?

I did not bother uninstalling application first.
You should be able to directly run the installer or try the built in updater.
