Installation, Shortcut placed on KDE 3.5.2 Desktop, Game loads correctly and brings up a brief introduction in text, mouse movement works okay to click the button to denote user is finished reading intro text, the "Robin Hood" character can be moved by left clicking on the ground (but mouse cursor isn't visible), all objects and characters (player and computer controlled) appear correctly except for certain attacks from enemies which render odd green blocks over them but only for a duration of a second or two. Music, sound effects, and character voices. Scrolling the in-game world via arrow keys on the keyboard, zooming in and out with the mouse scroll wheel. Running "wine UNWISE.EXE" in "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Robin Hood - The Legend of Sherwood (Demo)" without quotes uninstalls the demo with success, leaving the UNWISE.EXE program, the demo directory, and the shortcut on the desktop for manual removal.
What does not
mouse cursor during gameplay is not visible making gameplay very difficult if not impossible
What was not tested
Gameplay beyond an initial confrontation between Robin Hood and the first appearing group of computer controlled enemies. Lack of a visible mouse pointer/cursor in-game makes gameplay impossible.
Installer automatically installs DirectX 8.1 (or the appearance of) without prompting for the option to decline. Were the mouse cursor be rendered visible I'm confident this demo would be playable.
