What works
Everything has worked so far.
What does not
The install was a bit tricky. While the install dialogue screen came up for me, it was blank.
Pressing the tab key caused flickers in the screen, which allowed me to see the buttons. I was able to navigate the installation doing it this way.
Later I realized that my video card driver seemed to have some issues, and I suspect the hardware acceleration was the cause of the problem with the dialogue.
Other than that, it's been working the same as on windows.
Workarounds
I suspect using the default 'noveau'? display driver would have resolved the issue.
