What works

Everything except automatic game detection.

What does not

Does not automatically detect where Neverwinter Nights II is installed.

Java 8 does not successfully install in wine.

Workarounds

Install the following into your wine prefix.  I used winetricks.  These may or may not be necessary, but this is what I did.

You must install Java 7 runtime for Windows into the wineprefix you are running this from, not Java 8.  You can find Java 7 at the following link at the time of this submission:

This is a Java application so you start it in much the same way you do on Windows with a command line similar to the following;

WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.wine" "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Java/jre7/bin/javaw.exe" -Xmx256m -DNWN2.install.path="/path/to/NWN2/main/folder" -jar ~/Games/NWN2Editor/NWN2Editor.jar
