To get the game working properly I recommend installing Xephyr then if you'd like to make it a little easier with shortcuts. You may use my script (https://db.tt/x5vwxu4F) this should help make running games that requires lower bit depths a bit easier. This script runs both Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 & 2 perfectly.
