Administration tool for music creation software
For use with:
For use with: All current Native Instruments software products. Legacy software not supported.
Native Access is now almost completely working with logging into a Native Instruments account, installing applications, and updating itself and instruments (as long as the instruments don't need to download a .iso, but there is a fix for this).
Also, having Native Access on the system tray also works on xfce's notifications area.
What does not
Some software Native Access gets is in the form of .iso images. Native Access downloads .iso images and has a virtual .iso mounter. When it attempts to mount the .iso files, it will fail.
Also, if you try to login with the wrong account information, Native Access will hang indefinitely.
When mounting an .iso fails, locate the .iso image (my path was ~/.wine/drive_c/users/brandon/Downloads/Reaktor_5.iso) that Native Access downloads and mount and run the .exe installer yourself.
After this, the instrument that you tried to install will normally install fine.
Do not login with the wrong account information.
What was not tested
I did not try uninstalling any instruments from Native Access or adding a serial manually.
It's amazing how well Native Access works nowadays with wine. I am so surprised and happy how well it works and I hope wine just keeps getting better for music creators.
