First version of Vegas Pro developed by Magix after acquisition from Sony.
Launching Magix Activator
Installer does launch with workaround.
What does not
Activating Vegas Pro 14
Installer does not copy files
Manually copied Vegas Pro 14 files from a Windows Installation (Virtual Machine).
What was not tested
The software itself. Vegas Pro 14 could not activate.
Winetricks used: corefonts, d3dx10, d3ddx11_42, d3dx11_43, d3dx9, dotnet40, msxml3, vcrun2015
Windows Version: Windows 7
Copy acquired from Humble Bundle.
Installer does not copy files despite successful installation from the installer. (Installer crashes upon launch unless you overwrite the msvcr140 library to native, builtin.)
The workaround to the installer issue is to copy the preexisting Vegas Pro 14 files already installed on a Windows machine to the Wine prefix on a Linux machine. (This can be done with either a Virtual Machine or a physical Windows computer.)
Activation attempts leads to an error message that reads:
An online connection could not be established. Please make sure your computer is correctly connected to the Internet. A firewall may also be blocking access.
