What works
After getting past the initial menu to select my character, playing the game seemed to work fine, but I only played for about 10 minutes. Entered the church, killed a few monsters, then saved and quit.
What does not
The initial menu where you select single/multiplayer and your cahacter was all black except for when I moved my mouse around then I could see small areas of the menu under the mouse. Can be pretty hard to use, but isn't very hard like if it was completely black the whole time.
Windowed mode also didn't work, and the resolution settings didn't seem to make a difference. I can kind of force it into windowed mode by turning on Wine desktop emulation, but then it is always really small on my 1080p desktop.
Workarounds
What was not tested
Multiplayer or battle.net. I kind of tried the "classic" version listed which has the battle.net support, but it asked to enter the CD. I could probably get that working with minimal effort if I mount the ISO.
