If you have Compiz-Fusion enabled (through the desktop effects for example), you need to disable it before running the game. Else the gnome dashboard will stay on top of the game. To disable it in Ubuntu 7.10, go to System, Preferences, Appearance, Visual effects, and choose "None" (rating changed to Silver because of multi-player, even if not tested)

Installation and patches

Setup

The setup looks for a CD drive with the right name. If you have an image of the install disc, you will need to mount it with an appropriate tool like CDEmu (fuseiso will not work).

Patches

  1. Official 1.06 patch
  2. Non-official hi-res patch
    3. The hi-res patch will not change the game assets, it will only allow modern screen resolution. This patch also helps reducing the speed issues.
