Old test results
The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results

What works

  • File system browsing.
  • RAW and JPEG viewing, including EXIF info and
  • RAW and JPEG editing on screen only
  • Slideshow

What does not

RAW and JPEG editing cannot be exported (saved).  For example, try to export one of the sample images it installs.  Exports fail with the message "An unexpected error has occurred"

Occasionally falls over.

Workarounds

A 32 bit install failed, installed by using a Wine 64 bit configuration and installer:

WINEARCH=win64 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine64 winecfg
WINEPREFIX=~/.wine64 wine ~/Download/OWSetup_64bit.exe

What was not tested

  • Interaction with a physical camera.
  • Use of GPU accelerated image processing.  My GPU was recognised but lacked sufficient RAM (2GB is required for GPU accelerated processing).
  • Panoramic tool

Hardware tested

Graphics:

  • GPU: Nvidia
  • Driver: proprietary

Additional Comments

Because it cannot export results it is only useful for experimentation (unless you are happy to use screen captures for export).

I suspect the export functionality is running a plugin or batch-command which is failing.  I haven't been able to track down any useful diagnostic/log of the cause of the failure.  Someone more familiar with Wine might have more luck.
