Additional Comments

MiniMRP is a 32bit application that can optionally connect to MS SQL Server, MySQL Server, MariaDB or MSJet.

Works fine in 64bit prefix if you intend to use SQL Server. But if you wish to use the local/default MSJet functionality then you should install MiniMRP into a 32bit Prefix. (It works in 64bit prefix but requires extra steps to install Jet40 so, for simplicity, we'd suggest 32bit prefix.)

Here's steps to create and install in a new 32bit Wineprefix on Liinux Ubuntu

# Create a 32bit prefix named minimrp
WINEARCH=win32 WINEPRFIX=~/.minimrp winecfg

# Wine config opens. See Windows 7 is selected and close the config window.

# Install the MS Dot Net framework 4 and jet40
WINEPREFIX=~/.minimrp winetricks -q dotnet40 jet40
# Ignore any errors related to \\dao\\ we don't need it.

# Visit minimrp wesbite at www.minimrp.com to download standard or 'pro' version of MiniMRP
# (Only Pro version can connect to SQL Servers. Standard version only uses Jet)

# Assuming download was downloaded into the USER/Downloads folder

# If Standard version was downloaded. Install with
WINEPRFIX=~/.minimrp wine ~/Downloads/install_minimrp5s.exe

# If Professional version was downloaded. Install with
WINEPRFIX=~/.minimrp wine ~/Downloads/install_minimrp5p.exe

On Ubuntu 18.04 a shortcut is created on the Linux desktop. Double click the shortcut to start MiniMRP.

Software prompts for a licence key. Click 'Do it later'.
