What works

Installer pops up and starts to run, does not get very far before hanging up while attempting to initialize

What does not

It does not actually install the software, even after installing .Net 4.0 or higher through winetricks.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Moving a previously installed version via Windows into the Wine prefix

Hardware tested

Graphics:

  • GPU: Nvidia
  • Driver: proprietary

Additional Comments

I used a new 64-bit Wine prefix and had to install dotnet40 through winetricks. Issue still occured.

When ran from terminal, it gives the following error before hanging:

002b:err:seh:setup_exception_record stack overflow 1024 bytes in thread 002b eip f7bb7198 esp 00230f30 stack 0x230000-0x231000-0x330000

It works once installed

For what it's worth, it works once it's installed. I've had CorelCAD (a component in the suite) installed for a couple years now (from a humble bundle), but I can't say which version of wine I used when it installed... whichever one it was, it didn't give me any grief. Looks like if I need to re-install it, it's going to be a pain, though :(

Forum doesn't seem to support editing posts - forgot to mention I specifically have Corel CAD 2019 installed via wine.
