What does not
Installing directly through the .msi file does not work (However your case may vary as i was initially able to make the installation GUI work sometimes and also get extremely close to completing installation to the point where it actually started up but was missing some included plug-ins and samples)
You need to have an offline installer for Ableton. Then once you have got it you will extract it (in case it was a zipped file) and copy over the Ableton Folder in /"Directory to Setup Folder"/Ableton to the "C" drive of wine usually located in \home\"username"\.wine\drive_c. (Preferably copy it to the program files folder inside of drive_c). Then create a .desktop file in your /home/"username"/.local/share/applications (This will only let you have it appear in only your accounts application menu in case you have set up multiple accounts on your device.). Copy and paste any random .desktop file in this folder and rename it to "Ableton Live 10.desktop" (you can also download an .ico file of Ableton live from the internet to make things even more spicy !). Finally right-click on the newly created file and select properties (or just press CTRL + I) and type in (or Copy/Paste) the Command :
wine /home/"username"/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Ableton/Live\ 10\ Suite/Program/Ableton\ Live\ 10\ Suite.exe
and paste it inside of the "Command" text entry in the menu (Make sure to replace "username" with your username. Also alter the path if you copied the files to a different folder or if the names of the folders/files are different. Also Also make sure the "allow executing file as program" box is selected). At this point Restart or log out of your system and then log back in to find that a shortcut for Ableton Live 10 is present in your menu.
Now you are free to open it and it should work flawlessly. then follow the designated steps listed inside of live to authorize live (i recommend going for an offline authorization)
What was not tested
Online Authorization and External MIDI Devices such as Keyboards, Drum pads E.T.C
Although it is not necessary, i recommend that you download the native audio drivers for your device and install them using wine (and then go to Preferences > Audio and change the output/input device to the newly installed driver [cuz pulseaudio SUCKS!!!!!!]). Also make sure that if you are planning to use external VST'S like Xfer Serum or Native Instruments Kontakt work under wine (For example Serum dosent even want to display the GUI untill you manually overide the d2d1 library in winecfg and even then it just dosent want to authorize)
