Crash at game start in Windows 10 mode
by dolphinling on Saturday February 15th 2020, 5:42
If the windows version is set to Windows 10, there is a crash at game start.

It is not 100% - I'd say closer to 75%, so if you keep loading the game eventually you will get in. It occurs approximately 1 second after the fullscreen window appears, before any content appears. It started happening maybe 2-3 weeks ago (unsure if it changed due to game update, wine update, or other system update). Before that, setting Windows version to Windows 10 worked fine.

Setting Windows version to Windows 8.1 seems to work fine.
Lost mouse clicks when moving mouse
by harry on Saturday February 8th 2020, 5:50
Mouse clicks are sometimes lost when I also move the mouse fast at the same time.

When the mouse is not moved, all clicks are recognized. This only happens in LoL. It doesn't happen outside of wine at it also doesn't happen with other applications in wine. I have this problem now for some time; it didn't happen before. Unfortunately I don't know if it was caused by a wine update or a LoL update.

Anyone else got this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?
Crash after champ select again since 9.21
by WeirdCookie on Thursday October 31st 2019, 15:31
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but since patch 9.21 I experience the same crashes as patches 9.10 and 9.20 have previously caused. I am using a patched wine with the recommended fixes for the latter two, and was able to play just fine the day before 9.21 came out. I have also tried reinstalling the game on a new prefix with the current wine-staging 4.18 (without any patching or self-compiling), as it apparently now includes the fixes, but to no avail. I did set the required vsyscall32 value as always.
My self-compiled wine is only "installed" in its own folder (I used to just call it using the full path), and should therefore not interfere with the default wine-staging 4.18 installation of my system.

Does the game still work for everyone else? I'd especially be interested if it works for someone using wine-staging 4.18 without any further patches, as it reduces the probability that the problem lies within my self-compiled wine.

Got the same bug, I tried paying TFT.
LoL crashes while stopping launcher and trying to launch the game itself.
I could play without any problem a little before (didn't played for 2/3 patches)

I found a way to play LoL again.
I just followed the steps of this post www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/c4syo4/teamfight_tactics_is_working_in_linux/

It uses a version 4.17 of wine dedicated to LoL.

Before, I was playing LoL using Lutris until it crashes after last update
RE: Crash after champ select again since 9.21

Thanks for your reply! So I assume the wine fix that uses a patched glibc still works. Compiling that on my machine is unfortunately quite tedious because I'm not using archlinux (I use openSuse) and thus, as far as I know, cannot easily use the PKGBUILD files. Ill try reading through them and doing everything manually later, although I hope there's gonna be another patch soon that works without altering glibc.
If anyone can play without the glibc patch, please let me know!

by WeirdCookie on Friday November 8th 2019, 14:15
I finally figured out how to manually follow the instructions of the PKGBUILD files. The game now works again, so I can confirm that the patched-glibc fix works. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!
Client process already running
by Joe on Monday October 28th 2019, 16:03
So if anyone has the problem, that the patcher won't launch the client, saying there was some client process still running (which is not true), just delete (or rename) the 'Riot Client' folder in 'C:\Riot Games'. That should fix it.

There is also a topic on the problem in this thead: boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-report/9AGk4oX7-league-client-process-already-runnin

The recent issues with 9.20 have been fixed with a patch submitted from Reddit User: EnglishDentist.

League of legends patch 9.20
by Hyrezia on Wednesday October 9th 2019, 11:26
The new patch (9.20) of LoL break the patch from Andrew Wesie (thank you for it btw ;) ).
I don't really know how to fix it so if someone can try, it will be great.

Patch 9.10 is not working on wine
by Rostyslav Boiko on Friday June 28th 2019, 9:31
but not, I'm still unable to prepare all needed patches manually. Will someone be so kind to explain how to do this without breaking own system?

by Rostyslav Boiko on Sunday May 19th 2019, 11:56
Update: seems that it's fixed now: bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47198#c25
RE:
by Rostyslav Boiko on Sunday May 19th 2019, 12:23
Update2: seems that it fixed but main patch is for arch and many users from other dist. have no idea how to apply patches to their wine version (incl. me)

Not working with GCC 9.1?
by dolphinling on Saturday May 11th 2019, 11:49
I recently rebuilt wine with GCC 9.1, and the launcher displays only the background (a large blue rectangle) with no content. On rebuilding wine with GCC 8.2, it works again. Is anyone else running into this problem?

Gentoo
Intel graphics

I will file a bug after a few more tests
