Selected Test Results

What works

  • Launcher download and install
  • Client download and installs
  • Game runs (with heavy workarounds)

What does not

  • Requires patched glibc and wine for the client to start
  • Launcher is cpu-hungry

  • Installed patched glibc and patched wine for the client to start.
  • Tick options "low spec mode" and "exit launcher while ingame" for better perfs.

What was not tested

  • PBE
  • League voice (altough nothing seems to be out of order)

Hardware tested

  • GPU: AMD
  • Driver: open source

Additional Comments

Running under manjaro, using AUR wine-lol (which uses wine-lol-glibc)

Tested versions : 9.11

It seems using D9VK, altough getting you insane perfs gain, might get you banned. Use with caution.

Patch 9.10 is not working on wine
by Rostyslav Boiko on Friday June 28th 2019, 9:31
but not, I'm still unable to prepare all needed patches manually. Will someone be so kind to explain how to do this without breaking own system?

Update: seems that it's fixed now:

Update2: seems that it fixed but main patch is for arch and many users from other dist. have no idea how to apply patches to their wine version (incl. me)

i was mistaked set wininet to native doesn't solve the problem
after champ select on launcher, when game client start to loading, error left
the problem appear in few start loads of game client till it finally load, after that later loads are without problem till reboot the launcher (or maybe linux i didn't test)
Not working with GCC 9.1?
by dolphinling on Saturday May 11th 2019, 11:49
I recently rebuilt wine with GCC 9.1, and the launcher displays only the background (a large blue rectangle) with no content. On rebuilding wine with GCC 8.2, it works again. Is anyone else running into this problem?

I will file a bug after a few more tests
