Installation, For the most part. Installshield finishes the install "You've Successfully Installed" or what-not), but does not close. `killall -9 IDriver.exe` fixes the problem.
Single Player executable, well a nocd executable...:), finished a few missions.
Multi-player executable, and creating a listen game server.
All graphical options turned on (except sli, frame sync, and anti aliasing), with a decent-to-good (much improved from previous wine) framerate (seems like 25-50 fps most of the time) on a core2duo @ 3.20 ghz, 8800 GTS 320 (driver 195.36.15), 2gb DDR2.
DirectX 7.0 mode works, and naturally runs at about 60fps constantly.
What does not
Uninstallation (perhaps due to the installer not closing). There are two entries listed in `wine uninstaller`, neither of them function.
While I did not test, I'm fairly certain, like many other games, CoD2 will not be able to join most/all punkbuster servers.
What was not tested
Joining an internet server (this is the old 1.00 version, and CoD2 is a punkbuster game, so didn't bother).
Patching to the 1.3 version. See: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12710
Rated Gold because of the installation problems. I recall having this installshield issue with CoD2 a long time now. In lieu of filing a report for the 1.3 version, I can add that the patch installer would have the same problems as the one on the disc, but would indeed patch the game files at least. From there, the 1.3 version will crash due to bug 12710, however, editing config.cfg and disabling the videos (set com_introPlayed to "1") or using `taskset -c 1 wine CoD2SP_s.exe` (to restrict the game to one core) will work around this bug. However, it then runs considerably slower.

If you start the game and the intro videos play but then the screen goes black, you may need to enable S3 texture compression. To do so:
