Version 2019b Professional - in short OriginLab 9.6 Pro
Important: only the 64-Bit Version was successfully tested, and only OriginPro. You also need to install additional packages and MSVC2012 runtime, please see the Workarounds section.
Working well as tested so far:
Working with some restrictions:
What does not
Also, the Software crashes with vanilla Wine-VC2012, see Workarounds.

After selecting a Tab:
As we have to install VisualC 2012 runtime I suggest to create a new wine-prefix and install there using e.g.
WINEPREFIX=$HOME/progs/Origin2019 wineboot WINEPREFIX=$HOME/progs/Origin2019 wine $home/Downloads/Origin/setup.exe
OriginLab 2019b crashes with the Wine-Supplied MSVC2012 runtime. You can use winetricks to install it using
WINEPREFIX=$HOME/progs/Origin2019 winetricks vcrun2012
Also, Origin 2019 uses Windows Fonts by default, so you either need to change the font once you first started the software or install MS fonts, e.g. by
sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer
Winetricks verbs for MS Fonts did not succeed downloading the required files for me, but might work for others.
What was not tested
I did not do intense testing of Python or 3D support, as well as
matrices. Signal processing was also not tested so far. OriginLab does
report OpenGL to be working.
And probably a lot more features I might now even know about, as this App has a lot..
I found PDF graph export to work very well on Linux/Wine. Compared to virtualization with VirtualBox, where some bugs in the 3D-Accelerator prevent glyphs to be rendered at the correct position, I prefer Wine over virtualized Windows.
Unfortunately, the Axis-Properties dialog does not work any more in this Version (and, in fact, also 2019).
