Additional Comments

Many people try to use Rufus with Wine to flash another operating system into a USB drive, usually lay users that aren't used to Linux and buys a Linux computer to install Windows. Rufus will probably never have support with Wine as it's needed root access to flash USB drives and you can't (and shouldn't) run Wine as root. Rufus not detecting USB drive is still a bug though, but it'll still not be able to format and flash a pendrive once it's fixed due to this limitation.

There's native alternatives to flash USB drives with ISOs, on GNU/Linux there's tools like Balena Etcher and UNetBootin, or you can use 'dd' command from terminal
