I did the instruction and install all the necessary prefixes. before I only installed .NET4 to enable the sketchup installation to complete, but I am unable to run it.

Browser login

To have Trimble login and Extension warehouse working you need to update registry to open links in external browser:
.reg file for import

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htmlfile\shell\open\command]
@="C:\\windows\\system32\\winebrowser.exe -nohome \"%1\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htmlfile\shell\opennew\command]
@="C:\\windows\\system32\\winebrowser.exe -nohome \"%1\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open\command]
@="C:\\windows\\system32\\winebrowser.exe -nohome \"%1\""

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\https\shell\open\command]
@="C:\\windows\\system32\\winebrowser.exe -nohome \"%1\""

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\WineBrowser]
"Browsers"="xdg-open"
Yes it works but...

Did you manage to use the dynamic components ?

Sketchup 2020 is working well too (same problems with dynamic components and some other browser-based plugins)....

Is there a workaround for those to work or not yet ?

You can install IE7 on wine64. But still I was not completely able to make all browser-based elements work.
Error de activación en Trimble
by Jorge on Wednesday June 5th 2019, 12:24
Me pasó exactamente lo mismo.
Se instala correctamente en Ubuntu 18.10 y 19.04
pero da error al intentar iniciar sesión en Trimble.

The exact same thing happened to me.
It installs correctly in Ubuntu 18.10 and 19.04
but it fails to try to log in to Trimble.
