Version is from the Epic Games Launcher as of the date of posting.
Tested up to the main menu. I did no try to play because of the sound issue.
What does not
Music (it does, but it is crackling a lot). Does not happen with Wine 4.8-staging.
What was not tested
Prefix used: export WINEARCH=win64 WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.wine-journey_2019
Tested on a computer with a Intel CPU (OS Xubuntu 18.04 x64).
Same sound issue on Xubuntu 19.04 x64 ( Audio device: Intel Corporation 100 Series/C230 Series Chipset Family HD Audio Controller (rev 31)). And with Wine 4.15
I tried to fix the sound issue: winetricks dsound xact
To hide those many debug lines (note: 'winetricks d3dx11_43' did not fix this):
0030:fixme:d3d_shader:shader_sm4_read_instruction_modifier Unhandled modifier 0x800000c2.
0030:fixme:d3d_shader:shader_sm4_read_instruction_modifier Unhandled modifier 0x00155543.
run the game with:
WINEDEBUG=-d3d_shader,-d3d11 wine Journey.exe
I had the following log, but don't know how to fix it :
002a:fixme:d3d:swapchain_init The application requested more than one back buffer, this is not properly supported.
Please configure the application to use double buffering (1 back buffer) if possible.
