What works

• Installation, launch, registration/activation (using Activation via Website)
• Capture of screen text to clipboard and text file, and screen image to image file via Area, Window, Screen and Timed Screen

• Menu options Help, Register now, ABBYY Web Site, Technical Support, Send Feedback and About

• Enabling/disabling Show ABBYY Tips, Always on Top

What does not

Image to Clipboard via Area, Window, Screen and Timed Screen does not work (no clipboard data to paste)

Image to E-mail via Area, Window, Screen and Timed Screen (a new e-mail will open in the default e-mail application but it is empty)

The application will crash after approx. one hour of being idle if the menu option "Show ABBYY Tips" is enabled, which would indicate that the cause is the application attempting to retrieve tips from the internet. (A Bug entry will be submitted.)

Workarounds

Disable Options > Show ABBYY Tips to avoid the application crashing after approx. one hour of being idle.

Additional Comments

I consider the problems with the application very minor, as it performs its intended use of screen OCR flawlessly; image capture is an unnecessary bonus.
